The Dutiful Daughter

Makes Aaron's table's look like crap.

The rankings start here!

It seems like every month we have a player emerge. Someone who stakes claim to points and moves up on the leaderboard. Now with Aaron's awarding of points based on placement it's easy to say the points leader is the best player correct? But. We all know who the real top players are.

Now don't get me wrong. Many on the leaderboard are great players and will rank high on my list. To be fair some are not but play well enough to sit amongst the best.

We all have caught the World Poker tour and World Series of poker on the TV and said "I can do that". I have news for some of you. You can't do that. Most of you would be out quicker than you can say "I'm all in"

Again, Don't get me wrong. Its not that your horrid as much as you just don't play at that level.

If any of you have played at the Mohegan Sun or Foxwoods Tournaments over the past year you will understand what I am talking about. Its all about bringing your game to the next level.

As we rank our fellow players here on Uptheodds.com we need to take all aspects into account.

Some of the guidelines I will use to evaluate the players are:

results

knowledge of the game

games played

opponents opinion

decision making

Etc.

We need to understand that many players are still in the learning process. trying to learn the nuances to the game and improve their skill set.

With only a select few ready for the Big Casino tournaments there is still a large amount of players (with some guidance) ready to make the next level.

As I rank the top players I am sure to get some grief. Players who feel they deserve to be placed amongst the elite players of the league will feel left out and want to vent their anger towards me, the executive editor of the site.

Ill rank the top 15 and following posts will narrow them down.

If you're too sensitive or just a full fledged ass then stop reading now. I don't want to hear any crying going forward.

The following are in no specific order. They are being posted randomly as

they are picked from a hat.

Now a few of you may be thinking you belong in this list. You may and you may make this list with a few nice tournament placings. Until then my list stands.

There is a few on the list that barley nudged others off and they will not make the top 10 to be posted soon. Lets look at he players short on points but big on potential.

The lowest current player in points is Josh. A donkey by most standards, I have seen him compete on the big stage at Foxwoods WPT. I have to give him his props and place him in the top 15. Will he warrant a spot come Monday? Only time will tell.

Matt's the Next. His play has been, to be kind, pathetic. A player that others used to fear is now just a face in the crowd that looks desperate. He has the tools but just doesn't have the will to win. last year a shoe in for the top 10. This year, not so much.
While Miler makes the top 15 his cell phone may be his demise. Ringing 12 times a night, he may be distracted from the game at hand. Let's hope the cell stays in the car this month and he shines like we know he can.

There are a few just outside of the top 15 that deserve recognition.

Dave R should be there but a tough 2009 is costing him.

Bryan needs more play for an honest overview

Can Rafael move to the next level and onto the big board?

Will Willis conform to tournament play from cash and become deadly?

There are many more just outside my top 15 that have the skill but either have that poker flaw, just don't attend enough tournaments or have had too much

bad luck to warrant a top 15 placement.

My top 10 follow this months tournament. The top 15 are not immune in being bumped. Every month brings new play and new rankings.

Where will you place?

Is December in reach?

I'm hoping to see your best.

Tomorrow

Friday

Ill be there.

Will you?
