The Top Ten!

Well the voting is done. The League has spoken and I have narrowed the list down to the final 10. With twenty one of you casting votes there are few surprises. Lets go over the results.

With only 4% of the votes, Mr. Miller came in with a whopping 1 vote(I assume he voted for himself) As an aggressive player I think he may be better than the results reflect. He tends to splash around in more than his fair share of pots and that loose play may be costing him, and not just in the poll.

Big Frank and John L come in next with 14% of the votes cast their way. With 3 votes each they two have some soul searching to do. Both are within reach of the leaderboards elusive seats and Big Frank is so close he can taste it. August is a few weeks away. Football, raking leaves and Game 8 of 11 will be here very soon. With no time to spare these two need to bring their "A" game from here on out.

Ray Sits alone with 19% of the votes. His 4 total votes matches the amount of times he sucks out per tournament. As the "quiet player", He sits back lurking in the shadows waiting to spring his trap. He sits tied for the last position for Decembers Tournament of Champions. Frank is 4 points behind, one for every vote Ray received.

With 5 points and a 23% approval rating, Josh is on life support. 21st place and with nothing on the horizon for this past champion he is starting to reminds us all of Brett Farve. Past his prime but holding on to that glimmer of hope we all know has faded. It may be time for our good friend to retire to the announcers booth.

Kyle and Scott are tied with 7 votes each. 35% of the voters think these two belong in the top 10 and the standings prove this to be true. They are sitting one and two on the leaderboard and barring a complete meltdown (Also called a Wojo) these two should be there in December.

Chris W and Pete sit side by side with 38% of the votes saying "yes". July watched Chris make a huge move up the chart to be tied for 3rd and Pete pull within 9 points out of the top 9 players. Both these guys have shown they can play with the big boys and are both in the top 10 players.

Log jam at 42%. 4 players. Aaron, Matt, Steve D and Myself. We all sit with 9 votes each. With Matt's 2nd place showing last month he staked claim to redemption. Stating he would make the December game, he is ready to put his lack-luster play from earlier this season behind him. Aaron Steve D and myself have only 3 points that separate us from a December invite or a long cold holiday season.

Javier and Steve D both received 10 points. 47% of you think they deserve to be placed in the top 10. I have to agree. Both have earned their place in this elite club and have shown that they know the game. Javier found his way back up to be tied for the last seat available and Steve made a huge move and 30 points total. Both of them are one slip away from gone but with their skill sets, my tutelage and some good old fashion luck, I think they will find a way to play in December.

The Final List (In No Particular order)
Top 10

Matt
Aaron
Javier
Steve D
Dave N
Kyle
Steve C
Scott
Pete
Chris W

I must agree with the masses on this vote but the next list will have to drop 5 more. Another poll that will be non binding will be posted soon and I implore all of you to vote. The next one will be tough. Some good players will have to go.

The 5 that did not make the cut will have something to prove in August. The next list may have a few subtractions and maybe even a few additions. Play your way onto or off the list. You don't have to win but you have to know the game.
