MARCH MADNESS ARRIVES

Two down and nine to go. March is here and Friday will bring another chance for everyone to shine. With the new point structure the final table is far from set. Everyone has a great chance to place in the top 10. Spring arrives this month but summer is done in 3 months. That leaves only 9 more chances to earn your place.

Most of us have been through this before. Thinking March April and May are too early to make a move right? Not so. the leaders will slowly move away in points and make it more difficult to secure a year end seat. Making the next few count is important.

I have been thinking about comparing players in our league with Professional Poker Players and famous people I believe they are similar to. In this entry I will be posting a few that I think we can all agree match up pretty well.

Before I start I want to assure you that these will be based on looks. Play style. Personality and not based solely on poker skills.

Willis = Cantu

These guys both are certifiable. Very close in play style, looks and patients. Cash games are where they tend to succeed and when they are in the pot its a wild guess on what they are holding. Cantu does have over $3,000,000.00 in lifetime winnings to $136.50 for Willis. A slight advantage. Still both players are aggressive to the point of insanity.

Humberto = Javier

Both great players are here illegally. Hair and moustache are interchangeable. Humberto over 5 million, Paxi just over 3k.

Josh = Liebert

Both big fans of Jackets with patches on elbows.Seem to make a few final tables a year but never get the win. Kathy 5.3 million lifetime while Josh still looking for his first professional cash.Matt = Timoshenko

The first time you see either one you question whether its a man or a woman. Feminine side is well advertised in both cases. Both have decent skills. Yevgeniy sits with over 3 Million in winnings, Matt about $236.55.
