Tensions run high in September. Protesters gather in front of Matts Work.

Another month and another angry Matt. Considered the Phil Helmuth (minus the talent) of the league he again cant understand why other people sometime have better hands.

He swears he's been just plain running bad. Cant get traction and keeps running into hands. Has bad luck, blah blah blah. News flash doofus.....That's poker. This game does not care if you're a half ass player that's reckless, A tight player who knows the game inside and out or a world class poker phenom that runs his own blog, The game has an unfair side.

You see it all the time. Aces get cracked. Someone makes a move with 7-6 off suit and flops a straight. Someone is in the bathroom and comes back late to play a full house. Its an painful game. Most have been on both sides of the cards and understand that that's the game.

It still stinks. No matter how many times you see it it always seems to happen to you when you can least afford it. Some people deal with it well. Others cant stomach the beat.
Without the monthly update I am forced to post without the advantage of seeing the exact Rankings and points YTD.

Sitting right on the cutoff for Decembers invite only event, Matt has no tolerance for other players.

If you call or raise with a sub par hand its a bad play.

If he does it he felt weakness or was making a move.

If you go in with better hand and he wins the odds were with him. If you go in with a better hand and lose it was a bad play on your behalf.

Are you seeing a pattern here? Now its not Just Matt. Everyone in the league has their own way of playing.

Josh likes to play aggressive and then watch from the rail before 8:00 PM

Frank likes to play 50% of his hands next to the slow cooker

Aaron always has to sit near the computer

Javier must drink his weight in beer

I personally have no quirks or patterns that are easily followed. Similar to Phil Ivey.

The top 9 are not set by a long shot. Every month we are seeing new players either move others off the list or at least deny them the points they so desperately need.
Players like Javier and Aaron are flirting with playing on the kiddie table in December.
Both Steve's are also teetering near the edge of the top 9.
Ray, John, Miller, Pete and Rafael can see the promise land and are a good showing away from a top 9 placement.
Dave R with his September win also gets into position to have a chance. He had 4 points coming into September and he is a win away from the big board. Quite a move.
As soon as the results are sent out and the points are tallied I will update the site to reflect where we all sit.
October is coming.

UPDATE.

STATS ARE IN
!

Statistically no one is out.

Last place has 1 point. If you win twice you will have a total of 33 points. You are mathematically still in it but need a ton of help along with Back to back wins in October and September.

From #19 (Rafael) and up you have a great chance of making the chalkboard with a good showing or two.

MATT MAKES THE BIG BOARD!!!!

This is not a misprint. With a fourth place showing in September he has 34 points. This moves Aaron into a tie for 10th with Ray. Two points behind Javier who sits in 9th. A very tight race.

Scott and Kyle are in. Chris W and Myself are almost assured of a seat baring a number of events that are almost statistically impossible.

Frank, The two Steve's and Javier are vulnerable. With the changes we have seen over past 2-4 months I assume that a few of these fine players will not be on the December big boy table.

October 23rd will end the hopes of many players as well as cement others placement in the top 9. The points are there for everyone to make a statement. Tell the league that they are there to play and win.

Whats in store for October?

Can our #1 voted best player in the league get the points he needs to stay on the board?

Can Josh Get that elusive win and jump ahead?

Will Matt go on tilt after a bad beat and donkey himself off the list?

Many questions will be answered come 10/23/2009. We will remove the mark of "still has a chance" from the majority of players and narrow it down to a select few.

Some will have a great chance, Some a good one. Others will need the coming of Jesus.

What list do you plan on being on?
